Problem
Payment declined for security reasons – No payment alternatives for Latin America users
Hello Qoder team and community,
I’m writing to report a critical issue that is preventing users from Latin America from purchasing a Qoder Pro+ subscription, and to formally request the implementation of alternative payment methods.
When attempting to complete the purchase of Qoder Pro+ ($30.00), the payment gateway returns the following error:
“Payment declined for security reasons”
This occurs even with a valid Visa card (ending in 1739) that works normally on other international platforms. The current payment processor (powered by Antom – Think Beyond Payments) appears to be blocking transactions originating from Latin American countries or flagging them as suspicious due to regional security filters.
My situation
-
I am located in Latin America
-
My card is a valid Visa card
-
The card works on other international platforms (Netflix, Spotify, etc.)
-
The error is not related to insufficient funds
-
There is no alternative payment method offered (no PayPal, no other option)
Why this is a real problem
Latin America is a rapidly growing market for developer tools and AI-powered IDEs. Blocking users from this region due to overly strict payment security filters means:
-
Lost revenue for Qoder
-
Frustrated developers who genuinely want to pay for the product
-
No workaround or fallback for affected users
-
Zero customer support path within the payment flow itself
This is not an isolated case — many users across Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Chile and other countries face the same issue with payment processors that apply blanket security blocks on the region.
