Issue Description: execution did not stop when pressing stop button; the button remains in loading state
Steps to Reproduce: send the query, then press stop
Expected Behavior: the chat stopped the execution and button restored to “send” rather than loading state
Actual Behavior: button remains in loading state

task: auditing authentication & session management
issue: task execution stalled >4 hours so user had to stop midway. however, button didn’t change to default send state.
