Problem
DeepSeek has been notifying a substantial increase in the prices of its API service. While Qoder offers a variety of models to choose from, DeepSeek is currently a primary model for many users. This sudden price hike directly impacts our budgets, forcing us to either absorb higher operational costs or significantly reduce our development and testing capabilities within the platform.
Solution
The solution is to expand Qoder’s selectable model catalog by integrating text generation models from Xiaomi’s API, specifically the Mimo family ( https://mimo.mi.com/docs/en-US/quick-start/summary/model ), such as the Mimo-v2.5-pro. Adding this model to Qoder’s selection menu would provide users with a highly capable and cost-effective alternative, allowing us to route our tasks to a different provider and avoid being locked into DeepSeek’s new pricing structure.
Use Case
This would be used the moment DeepSeek makes its price increase effective. While the service itself wouldn’t be interrupted, the higher rates would severely impact the monthly available credits for operation. In that scenario, users could seamlessly switch their selected model from DeepSeek to Mimo-v2.5-pro to optimize costs and preserve their monthly credits. It would also be highly useful preventatively, allowing users to benchmark Mimo’s performance against DeepSeek before the new pricing takes full effect.
