repo wiki loading strategy

Firstly, Repo Wiki is a GREAT try. The docs has given me a new perspective on my project and helped me quickly understand other projects.

Suggestions

After using for a few days, I have the following suggestions:

  1. Manual Control and Partial Loading
I would like to have manual control over the loading process. After it generates the directory, I hope to be able to choose which parts to load, to pause, to regenerate parts based on updated code, or even delete parts that I don’t like.

  2. Chunked Loading
For certain functional modules, I want to generate a simple wiki by specifying files or folders, or even specifying specific parts related to a certain function (though this might be idealistic).

  3. Generating for Large Projects
The previous two points are preparations for this one.
I want to be able to generate wiki documentation for large projects with over 5000 files (I know this is difficult). However, there is an issue: for small projects, I can quickly understand them without generating too much wiki content, but for large projects, I would like a wiki to help me understand it quickly.
Therefore, strategies should be designed to generate useful information for massive projects (or certain parts of them).

  4. Adding Rules or Tips
I hope that the rules added for chat will also be effective when generating the wiki, or alternatively, there could be a separate entry to write tips for the wiki to help create it more effectively (or even faster).

  5. View Progress
I would like to be able to view the specific progress of the generation process. It’s always in queuing, which is quite frustrating.
