Request MCP config on project level

Problem

I have some MCP servers which go with specific project (e.g. compile, deploy), I expect those mcp server config go with the project config file. (e.g. <project_dir>/mcp.json) instead of Qoder config (e.g. <qoder_dir>/SharedClientCache/mcp.json)

Solution

When install an MCP server, let me choose install to project folder or qoder foder, and make it configurable.

Use Case

When project has its specific compile/deploy process.

Priority

  • :red_circle: High - Blocking issue
  • :yellow_circle: Medium - Important improvement
  • :green_circle: Low - Nice to have

Up! Currently the only way to support project level mcp is using CLI. But using CLI, I lose so many IDE built-in tools like memory.
